DPDC GUIDELINES & POLICIES

Welcome to Divine Purpose Dance Center (DPDC) "where confidence and purpose take center stage".

We are excited to welcome you to the DPDC family! Our policies are designed to create a safe, positive, organized, and enjoyable experience for every dancer and family. Please take a moment to review the information below, and refer back to it throughout the dance season. Thank you for trusting DPDC to be a part of your dancer’s journey. We can’t wait to dance, grow, and shine with you!

Attendance Policy

At Divine Purpose Dance Center, consistent attendance is essential for every dancer's growth and success. Each class builds upon previous lessons, and regular attendance helps dancers develop confidence, technique, and performance skills.

If your dancer will be absent, please notify DPDC before class. Tuition is not prorated or refunded for missed classes. Makeup classes may be offered at the discretion of the Director based on class availability. Students with excessive absences may not be eligible to participate in the annual recital if they are unable to safely perform the choreography.

DPDC Tuition Policy

Monthly Tuition: Tuition is due on the 5th of each month. Families are responsible for ensuring payment is received by the monthly due date. Tuition is divided into monthly installments due on the 5th of each month. The final installment is due June 5th and covers the season through June 12th.

Late Payments: Payments received after the 5th may be subject to a $30 late fee.

Returned Payments: Any returned or unsuccessful payment is subject to a $25 returned payment fee.

Non-Refundable Fees: Registration fees, recital fees, costume fees, and other applicable program fees are non-refundable once payment has been received.

Parent Responsibility: DPDC families are encouraged to stay current with their accounts throughout the dance season. Any questions or concerns regarding an account should be communicated with the studio as soon as possible.

Withdrawal Policy

A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw a student from Divine Purpose Dance Center (DPDC).

To officially withdraw, parents/guardians must complete the Withdrawal Form located on our website at least 30 days before the requested withdrawal date. A $35 withdrawal fee (and outstanding payments) are required at the time of withdrawal.

Please note: Tuition will continue to be charged until the required withdrawal form is received and the 30-day notice period has been fulfilled.

Not attending class does not automatically withdraw a student from DPDC. Parents/guardians are still responsible for tuition and applicable fees until the official withdrawal process is completed.

Registration fees, recital fees, and costume fees are non-refundable.

Verbal notice to an instructor or staff member does not serve as an official withdrawal. The online Withdrawal Form must be completed.

Dress Code
Policy

Proper dance attire promotes safety, professionalism, and allows instructors to properly evaluate technique and alignment. Students must arrive dressed in the required DPDC dress code for their level before class begins.

  • Hair must be secured neatly away from the face.

  • Jewelry should be limited to small stud earrings.

Students not dressed appropriately may be asked to observe class rather than participate.

Weather Policy

The safety of our DPDC students, staff, and families is our priority. In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, class cancellations or schedule changes will be communicated via email and DPDC’s official social media pages. Decisions will be based on current weather, road conditions, and local advisories. We encourage families to use their best judgment when traveling.
